Excavator Rig using Autodesk Maya software. The controls on the Head’s Up Display (HUD) are tied to the locators using set driven key. The locators use point constraints to make sure all the excavator parts are moving as they should without coming out of the model’s parameters. The excavator track is using a mel script to copy the model across the whole track and moving it along the timeline to mimic the movement of a real excavator track.
